WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR?

I’m grateful for everything, large and small. My health, my family, the opportunities life has afforded me, my dear friends.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?

Success is setting a goal for yourself and achieving it. Doesn’t have to be huge – anything that moves you forward.

BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?

You will most regret what you didn’t do, rather than what you did do.

BEST ADVICE YOU’VE GIVEN?

Be positive and open-minded.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON NOW THAT YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT?

I’m extremely excited for Sky Ladder, a documentary I co-produced available on Netflix. It’s about my good friend and the most incredible artist, Cai Guo Qiang, and his struggle to achieve Sky Ladder, the most complicated and beautiful creation he has worked on yet.

HOW DO YOU PRESS PAUSE?

Deep breaths!

IF YOU COULD HAVE ONE MAGIC POWER WHAT WOULD IT BE?

The power to end suffering.

WHAT MAKES YOU FORGET TO EAT?

Stress!

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST CHALLENGE?

I’m always trying to do the most with my time from my work endeavors, pursuing my love of art and spending time with my children. I think the greatest challenge in life is to prioritize well and to find balance.

FAVORITE WORD? WHY?

Thanks – it’s a word never to forget.

FAVORITE WORK OF ART? WHY?

Sky Ladder, Cai Guo Qiang. I really admire the passion, dedication and sheer determination demonstrated by Cai to fulfill his dream of creating Sky Ladder. It was a huge, 500m high ladder of fireworks connecting earth to sky – you’ve never seen anything quite like it.

FAVORITE BOOK? WHY?

Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl because it explores the potential meaningfulness of life, even under the direst circumstances, and shows us how to make the best of any situation we may find ourselves in.
