Getting to step back and feel proud about something you’ve accomplished.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON NOW THAT YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT?

We are working to expandThe Wing to new locations and new cities, and I am excited to build and design the spaces and to meet new women and learn about their lives.

HOW DO YOU PRESS PAUSE?

I have a lot of upper shoulder and neck pain from stress, so I try to get massages every few weeks and forfeit my phone. I also recently went to a silent meditation retreat with my husband and after about 24 hours of squirming really enjoyed myself.

WHAT DID YOUR 8-YEAR-OLD SELF LOVE DOING?

Dancing and torturing my sister.

IF YOU COULD HAVE ONE MAGIC POWER WHAT WOULD IT BE?

The ability to eat anything and never gain any weight.

WHAT MAKES YOU FORGET TO EAT?

Working too much combined with stress.

WHAT THREE THINGS WOULD YOU GRAB IN A FIRE?

My computer, my cats… I was going to say my keys but I guess they’d be useless?

WHAT IS THE HARDEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE?

My greatest challenge is dealing with anxiety which I’ve had since childhood and is a constant presence in my inner life.

FAVORITE WORD?

“Pluck” – It’s an adjective I love and a quality I admire in women.

FAVORITE WORK OF ART?

I’m a big fan of Joana Avillez’s illustrations and Leanne Shapton’s paintings, both of which we are lucky to have at The Wing.

FAVORITE BOOK?

I love Little Women because Jo March is and will always be my personal hero.
